International Construction Material comes in many varieties from the use of traditional building materials to the use of ultra modern construction materials. But lets face it, ultra modern housing solutions are outside the affordable range for many people and the many of the traditional building materials are falling into the obsolete category because they are prone to failures (like the concrete in Haiti) or inefficient in terms of energy efficiency (like bricks and block). So unlocking a commodity product somewhere in the middle is vital to improving the quality of housing and the availability of housing across the globe.
Is There an Alternative Building Material?
The answer to recognizing this new material (which I will describe below) may lie in the fact that it is not all that new. Rather it falls in the category of generally unfamiliar to many. The material I refer to is structural foam. Just mentioning structural foam does three things.
- First some people remember when insulating foam contained formaldehyde. A very bad chemical that was used in the foam making process.
- צווייטנס, people generally relate the word foam to something rather soft. What isn’t realized is foam is used as the heat shield on the vehicles that re-enter from outer space (the space shuttle).
- לאַסטלי, structural foam is on the inside of things. people do not see it. Much like Intel advertizing “it’s what’s inside” so too with structural foam.
So what is the range of products made with structural foam? A lot! Modern flooring materials that resemble wood grain are foam planks, balusters (a balustrade is a railing supported by balusters, especially an ornamental parapet on a balcony, bridge, or terrace), columns, wall insulating sheets (the blue stuff available at DIY stores), decorative columns, entire walls and entire roofs, roof panels with metal on the outside, אאז"ו ו… the list goes on. So chances are you have been impacted by structural foam in a very good way. Either a building looked good, was warm in winter or cool in summer, or was very quiet. In some way, if you live in America, קאַנאַדע, or Europe you have touched, seen, or been impacted by building made with foam throughout. אָבער; as I mentioned, the foam was almost always on the inside. It is almost always covered by stucco, fabric, plastic, metal or some other construction material to give it the look and feel of “the original”.
Why Would Companies Use Construction Foam?
There is a reason this material is used. It is inexpensive. A column made from foam offers much the same structural capability as that from concrete but requires a fraction of the energy to produce and is much lighter. Lighter means it was easier to transport and install making the transport and handling equipment much smaller, hence less expensive also. So the architects and builders gave you something great and you didn’t even know it.
As a matter of fact when was the last time you heard about a building made from SIP Panels collapsing. Me personally, the answer is never. However can you say the same thing for brick buildings or cement buildings. Remember Haiti? Chances are you have not heard about such a calamity because certain construction foams have another important feature. They are like glue so when poured (yes polyurethane foam is a liquid before it is a foam) they froth and when they froth they bind everything together. One feature often expressed when getting an older home insulated with blow in foam is that it will hold the house together. יאָ, indeed! It will glue everything together.
Is Construction Foam an International Construction Material?
By all means yes! For a long time now construction foam has been available across Asia to South America, North America, Europe, Russia, Africa…well pretty much everywhere. But it has always been in the hands of large companies who process the materials in large factories. Until Now! We’re putting this amazing building material in the hands of builders across the globe. The most effective use of the foam is as the core to זופּן פּאַנאַלז and we’re providing the tools and equipment to make them. In short we’ve eliminated the need for the factory and make field operated SIP Panel presses for the construction of structures from שעלטערס to opulent האָוסינג, villas, שולן, און נאך. יאָ, this is the material in the middle. It is inside whatever is made AND it is between the old inefficient traditions materials and the newest ultra moderns. Isn’t it time you built with one of the world most effective and efficient building materials?ייַנטיילן
